Fougère F Base Shave Soap
Fougère F Base is our latest version, which lathers up quickly and doesn't take much to achieve a creamy, protective and slick lather. The 100% natural Fougère Aroma Blend opens with the lively sparkle of two Italian Bergamot Essential Oils and a bit of Sicilian Lemon Essential Oil, bright and refreshing against the aromatic calm of Organic Tuscan Lavender. A gentle floral note of Rose Geranium and Amber Rose adds soft elegance, weaving warmth into the heart of the blend. The slight powdery note from Orris Butter makes sure there is no bitterness in this aroma blend. With subtle notes of Clary Sage and Jasmine Absolute, the scent settles into the earthy and green depth of both Haitian Vetiver Essential Oil and Violet Absolute. Add the forest-green richness and depth of Oakmoss Absolute, rounded out by the smooth sweetness of Tonka Bean and Hay Absolute. The result is a timeless, sophisticated aroma done naturally—fresh and uplifting at first, then evolving into a warm, grounded embrace.
Usage
ETHOS Shave Soaps are easy to lather, and about half an almond-sized amount of soap for a three-pass shave is recommended if using a shaving bowl. You can easily load three passes' worth of lather out of the jar in 20 to 30 seconds. The soap takes a good amount of water but is not extremely thirsty. It’s not recommended to rinse the face completely between passes, instead, just add a quick splash of water, work it around with some of the leftover lather and then lather up for your next pass. A lot of painting the lather on after the initial swirling of the brush is suggested. This method will increase the slickness to a whole other level. This soap can be used with any natural hair or synthetic shaving brush. Everyone has their own method, so have fun experimenting with this base to learn what works best for you!
